Take Time For Yourself And Let It Be

Take time for yourself and let it be.

The start of a new decade is the perfect time to reflect and look back on the things that have happened to us through our lives.

Life is a roller-coaster. Sometimes it’s fun. Sometimes it’s scary. Sometimes it’s up. Sometimes it’s down.

There are always so many things available to us. So many opportunities. So many lessons to learn. So much room to grow.

We can take these opportunities and grow, or we can waste our lives with the same mundane routines.

The choice is yours.

The following blog posts are the top lessons I have learned along my journey to self-improvement so far.

I hope these lessons help you along your own path.

ONE: Stay Present

TWO: Do What You Love. Every Day

THREE: Life Is Awesome On The Other Side Of Fear – Face Up To Your Fear NOW!!!

FOUR: Always Trust Your Gut. It Knows What Your Head Hasn’t Figured Out Yet.

FIVE: Buying Stuff WON’T Make You Happy. I PROMISE!

SIX: Going Through Hell Shapes Us Into The Best Version Of Ourselves.

SEVERN: How To Keep Fit During Lockdown!

Take Time For Yourself And Let It Be!

The Beatles once sang – Let It Be.

And it will be forever true.

Be Present In Nature

Life in 2020 has so far felt MASSIVELY overwhelming.

It has been hectic, chaotic, crazy, uncertain, painful, lonely and downright BORING at times.

So how do you deal with it? And how do you make sure you are prepared the next time something unexpected happens.

It’s simple…….

Self Care.

I am the first to admit that I can allow the pressures of life to crush me from time to time. I learned a long time ago that if I don’t take time out for my own self care, I will erupt into a full on stress fueled breakdown.

And so when times get tough, I disappear.

Don’t panic, I don’t mean that I disappear from the world, forever. Just for a short while (and usually just to the bathroom for me) and just totally escape from the social world and my social obligations.

Yes, it is true that we have to tackle life’s problems head on when they face us, and not to cower and hide, but we should be taking the time out to write up our plan of action beforehand.

Preferably in the bath with a big mug of tea………… If that’s your thing.

We need to take the time to just BE sometimes.

To breathe.

To take time off.

To take time for ourselves.

It is SO important to take the time to think about where we are in life, where we are going, to journal and realign, to make a plan and come up with new ideas.

To take walks.

To enjoy a long shower.

To take a life admin day (I will explain these in a later blog post if you are not already a die hard fan like me).

Life can very easily overwhelm you with the never ending to-do list, duties, emails, social media messages, worries, appointments and expectations from others.

Life is NOT meant to be that way. Humans were designed to live 24 hours at a time. No more. It’s pointless worrying about tomorrows problems today.

Humans are meant to just….be.

Make time for yourself every day to look within and take it easy.

Some of my very best ideas or feelings of perfect happiness come when I am taking care of number 1. A long hot shower, or when I am walking in nature.

It’s amazing how recharged I feel and how many great ideas I come up with when I take time away from constant “doing” and spend more time just “being.”

So MAKE the time as often as possible (at least once a week) for self-care and “chilling” out.

That way you can:

“ Give the world the best of you instead of what’s left of you”

Katie Reed

And for everything else…….As The Beatles said………

Let It Be.

Feel OK during stress

Sing Along

When I find myself in times of trouble
Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be
And in my hour of darkness
She is standing right in front of me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be

And when the broken hearted people
Living in the world agree
There will be an answer, let it be
For though they may be parted
There is still a chance that they will see
There will be an answer, let it be

And when the night is cloudy
There is still a light that shines on me
Shine on until tomorrow, let it be
I wake up to the sound of music
Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be

Absolutely LOVE this post! The way you write makes me feel like I’m taking care of myself by just reading your post about self-care. Adding the song and the lyrics at the end is just the perfect touch.

Awesome post! I totally agree, sometimes we have to just be… The world is crazy in itself already, we don’t need that for our life. During the uncertainty it’s a perfect time to self care our minds, bodies and souls. Thanks for the encouragement Dharma 🙏🏾❣️
