Going through hell can be one of the best things that ever happens to us.
The start of a new decade is the perfect time to reflect and look back on the things that have happened to us through our lives.
Life is a roller-coaster. Sometimes it’s fun. Sometimes it’s scary. Sometimes it’s up. Sometimes it’s down.
There are always so many things available to us. So many opportunities. So many lessons to learn. So much room to grow.
We can take these opportunities and grow, or we can waste our lives with the same mundane routines.
The choice is yours.
The following blog posts are the top lessons I have learned along my journey to self-improvement so far.
I hope these lessons help you along your own path.
When will this be over? When we face our own personal hell!
Life can totally suck sometimes.
There is no escaping it.
If we had the ability to plan out every event in our lives, we would obviously plan to avoid the difficult times and the hell we go through.
But life doesn’t work that way. Pain is an inevitable part of life for all of us.
Sometimes, we will fall into hell. But you can’t have the good without the bad. It’s all about balance, remember?
Yeah, it’s rubbish when shit happens. But it is necessary. Difficult times test our strength of character, bravery and mental strength.
Think about it, in every movie you have even seen, at least one of the characters goes through really difficult times and overcomes difficult challenges, right? And they always come out the other side. Stronger. Better than they were before.
Life is full of insane challenges. What matters is how we deal with them and how we use them to mold ourselves into the very best version of ourselves.
If you spend your time worrying, moaning, complaining and wishing your problems away, you are only wasting valuable time in overcoming them. You will HAVE to face them eventually, why put it off?
Those of us who take life by the horns and face the challenges head on will quickly level up and come out the otherside. The tough times are there to make us stronger and teach us valuable lessons.
On the downside, those of us who bitch and complain about life while feeling sorry for ourselves are doomed to stay miserable for a very VERY long time. Trust me, I have learned this one the hard way.
Which will you choose?
This decision lies with you. Other people can’t be there to pick you up and carry you every time you fall down. YOU have to get up, YOU have to face the demons and YOU have to fight.
Will you choose to face your problems head on and grow into the very best version of yourself? Or will you run away and cry “why me?”.
Change your mindset from “Why Me?” to “What Can I Do To Change This Situation?” and “What Are The Positives From This Situation?”
Strength of character is built from lots of tiny day-to-day positive actions and choices towards the path we want to be on. And let’s face it, we all have nothing but time at the moment, right?
Spend the rest of 2020 taking one bad-ass step at a time. 🙂
What demons are you facing during these difficult times? Drop me a comment or an email and let’s see if we can flip it around.
