Can you trust your gut instinct?
The start of a new decade is the perfect time to reflect and look back on the things that have happened to us through our lives.
Life is a roller-coaster. Sometimes it’s fun. Sometimes it’s scary. Sometimes it’s up. Sometimes it’s down.
There are always so many things available to us. So many opportunities. So many lessons to learn. So much room to grow.
We can take those opportunities and grow, or we can waste our lives with the same mundane routines.
The choice is yours.
The following blog posts are the top lessons I have learned along my journey to self-improvement so far.
I hope these lessons help you along your own path.
Two: Do What You Love. Every Day
THREE: Life Is Awesome On The Other Side Of Fear – Face Up To Your Fear NOW!!!

Always Trust Your Gut Instinct. It Knows What Your Head Hasn’t Yet Figured Out.
Have you ever had that feeling in your gut? That feeling where you KNOW something doesn’t feel right?
That is your higher-self. Your Intuition. Your Instinct.
That part of you knows what’s best. It knows what path you should be on.
If you start a project and it just doesn’t feel right. You should probably stop it.
If you are in a relationship with someone and your gut is telling you that something feels wrong, there is probably something wrong.
If you start a new job and every day you feel the life just sucked right out of you. That job probably isn’t for you. It’s probably not worth it.

While at the same time, if something feels RIGHT, you should CERTAINLY pursue it. Listen to what your intuition is telling you. Let it guide you.
But don’t mistake gut feelings with FEAR. Make sure you work out what your body is trying to tell you before you act.
Haven’t got a clue how to understand what your body is trying to tell you?
Wondering how can you trust your gut instinct? How do know if your gut feeling is right?
“ We always know which is the best road to follow, but we follow only the road that we have become accustomed to.”
Paul Coelho
To understand your higher-self you need to get present. You could try meditation, going for more walks (alone and in nature if possible), taking a long bath, pray (if you are into that kinda thing), listening to music, creating music, journal, art…the list is endless.

When was the last time you had a gut feeling that was right on the mark? Did you listen to it?

Yes I believe 200% that if we just slow down and ‘listen’ long enough, we need to trust our instincts! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you! Totally, our instinct will never let us down. Thank you for the comment! 🙂 Xx
Such important message, we are all guilty of acting with our heart especially when it involves a relationship. Like you said, our guts will never lie to us.
TOTALLY! The heart doesn’t think before it acts, the brain thinks TOO much, but our guts just KNOW the truth! Thank you for taking the time to comment. 🙂 xX

I certainly try and live by this rule, especially as I blog about gut health at: https://thegutchoice.com. Not only can it help us to stay healthy in both body and mind if we look after it, but the gut has a deep connection with our mind and, like you say, it can guide us. Really interesting post
Thank you Gemma. I bet so many people don’t even realise how powerful the gut is. I actually struggle with gut health myself, so I will be sure to check your blog out now. 🙂 I want to give it some extra TLC! 🙂 Dharma X
I don’t think I really understood how powerful it was until I started to blog about it and I feel like there’s still so much to discover about it. Sorry to hear you struggle with gut health; I hope my blog can help in some way. x
